Violet Beauregard

Esmé, my 2 year old has recently discovered Charlie and the Chocolate factory.  Over the past 5 days, I believe she has watched it 13 times and counting.  She has acquired a new love of chewing gum, and the friends of her three brothers keep her chewing, chewing, all day long.  Finally she stuck a piece behind her ear.

So, today I spent the morning slowly working peanut butter into the little gob of gum.  Poor little dear, it hurt her.  It's so tender to get your hair pulled around your ear, and she had it stuck very tightly.  I had to promise her a bit chocolate for sitting so well, but after a long time realized that one big chocolate might not really be enough to help her sit there so long.

We finally finished, she had her two big chocolates and a bubble bath to wash out all the peanut butter.  Peanut butter really does the trick, but after all the fuss, asking a child to sit for two shampoos gets to feel like a bit much to ask. lol  So for that reason, I would say it is harder to get out the peanut butter lol
